Analysis on Congestion and Road Pricing

Congestion brings a lot of negative effects and has been a serious problem in cities all around the world. In this paper, the author first discusses the causation of traffic congestion from an economics angle. Then, the author introduces congestion pricing as countermeasure and provides successful experience in Singapore. Last, the author analyzes the congestion in Beijing. Congestion pricing is an alternative to solve the problems of traffic jams in Beijing.
