  • On the basis of the definition of forestry economic growth and development, with the theory of "Development Economics" as reference, this paper studies the track and trend of forestry economic growth and development, and the impact of different factors on forestry economic growth and development through the analysis of forestry economic indexes and data from 1952 to 1999 by the combined methods of theoretic-analysis and case-study and the combined methods of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The research results show the contribution degrees and the changing laws of different factors to forestry economic growth and development, and affective course and ways of different factors, affective relations among different factors. Obviously, The research results can provide the scientific basis for constituting strategy and policy of forestry development. The new points of this paper are: 1) The developing processes of forestry economic growth and development in China are systematically brought to light; 2) The factors that affect forestry economic growth and development and their affective degrees and ways are systematically analyzed.
