Construction of expression vector and transformation of FpDREB2A gene into Robinia pseudoacacia ‘Idaho’ mediated with Agrobacterium tumefaciens

  • The transcription factor gene FpDREB2A of Fraxinus pennsylvanica Marsh var. subintegerrima (Vahl.) Fern was constructed into the higher plant expression vector pBin438 and transformed into Robinia pseudoacacia ‘Idaho’ by Agrobacterium tumefaciens GV3101. Callus was screened with G418. Morphogenesis of shoots and roots of Idaho locust transformed genes was carried out on antibiotic media. The transformed plants were verified by PCR and Southern blotting tests that the FpDREB2A gene had been inserted into the genome DNA of Idaho locust.
